The OTHERSide Cafe, Boston, Update! Beer List!

UPDATE: The OTHERSide is Closed, Long live The OTHERSide!

Holy crap, if you are in Boston, go to The OTHERSide Cafe immediately.

For the month of January, they are featuring $4 drafts of some high quality beer. Seriously excellent European and American Microbrews as well as venerable old classics. What do they have? I didn't remember because I wasn't driving so I sampled to my hearts content. But I've since got this months beer list, posted below.

The OTHERSide Cafe is a funky, pleasant sandwich shop and beer bar, run by crunchy, fixed-gear hipsters. Unlike hipsters in other parts of the US of A, Boston's own are famously friendly. The joint immediately feels like it's always been your spot. The atmosphere is equal parts relaxed and buzzing with activity. Original art on the walls constantly cycles and is for sale at crazy-low prices. The service is better then a typical bike-messenger bar, but don't expect the tightly controlled server-tron robots from a bland corporate place. Instead, you will like your server, and they will like you. It's odd.

Their sandwiches are top-notch, especially the Beef Au-jus, Turkey Club on Rye and Advanced BLT -made with with fresh mozzarella, basil and avocado -damn, that's good. Got a veggy in tow? The OTHERSide has "among the best options for vegans and vegetarians. Lots of seating options." -zagat.com. There are also Raw Foodist options.

But whatever you do, get a pint or several, of some tasty, tasty beer for a paultry-ass $4.

EKU Pils/ Anderson Valley Winter Solstice/ Racer 5/ Allagash White Stone Smoked Porter/ Lost Abbey Devotion/ CBC Big Man/ PBR/ Guinness St. Bernardus ABT12/ Young's Double Chocolate Stout/Victory Moon Glow/Mile and Hop Wallop/ Mayflower Golden Ale

Bottoms up, and keep it classy!
